Salzburg is a really beautiful city and worth a visit just to see the old town. Famous for the Musical events and the birthplace of Mozart. Currency is the Schilling which is usually 16-1 to the US dollar, it’s been as high as 20 and as low as 10 so check before you travel. Tons of museums, castles, historic buildings and even an authentic working salt mine. Thus, the name “Salzburg” meaning (salt castle). Stop in an enjoy some famous Turkish coffee and a pastry in one of the many coffee shops. In winter some of the world’s best skiing is nearby. During the summer, a short drive and skiing is still done on a glacier. Check out the famous water works, and we don’t mean golden showers.
